Japanese National Honor Society (JNHS)
The Japanese National Honor Society Pre-College Junior Chapter (JNHS) is a national organization, sponsored by American Association of Teachers of Japanese. It recognizes and encourages scholastic achievement and excellence in the study of the Japanese language.

Nine Japanese Students Inducted into Japanese National Honor Society! (2012-2013 school year)
On January 23rd, nine 8th grade EPMS Japanese students were inducted into the prestigious Japanese National Honor Society (JNHS), sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of Japanese (AATJ). EPMS is one of approximately 140 schools from 30 states in the nation belonging to the Pre-College JNHS Chapters. In order to qualify, students have to maintain all A’s in Japanese classes for two years, as well as A’s and B’s in other subjects.
The students inducted received Certificates of Excellence and JNHS pins. EPMS will be recognized on the AATJ website and in the upcoming AATJ Newsletter as one of the JNHS schools of 2013.
